Execution after the transaction: where complexity really begins.
Approval is a milestone, not the end of the process. Management teams should map four things early: the sequence of corporate and regulatory actions; ownership of each filing or dependency; evidence required to close each step; and the communication needed across advisers, intermediaries and stakeholders.
The practical question is not only “what must be done?” but “what has to happen first, who can block the next step, and what proof will be accepted?”
Management checklist
- Build one integrated action tracker across workstreams.
- Separate approvals, filings, confirmations and operational actions.
- Identify external dependencies and escalation routes.
- Maintain a complete record of decisions and supporting documents.
